1. Fear of Failure: It's important to know that failure is inevitable. Failure is going to happen, and it's okay. It's a part of the process. You're going to do something wrong. But, it's all a part of the process, and we have to face this fear of failure. Don't let the fear of failure hold you back from getting the results that you want in life.
2. Fear of Trading Security for the Unknown: To make progress, we need to step out of our comfort zones. The path to success may involve giving up our safety net for the unknown. We tell ourselves “If I could just… if I could just get this amount of money in my bank account, then I could take a breath. If I could just get this many days off in my position at work, then I would be comfortable taking a couple of days off.” Can you relate?
To move forward, to have more, we're going to have to give up some security for the unknown.
3. Fear of Being Overextended: If you refuse to invest in your future, to invest in yourself, to take a risk with your finances, with your time, nothing's going to change. There's going to have to be an overcoming of the fear of spending a little bit of money or giving up time from something else for what you want to accomplish.
4. Fear of What Others Will Say or Think: Often, the stories we create about others' opinions are unfounded. If you are going to create a narrative, create a positive one! What if others see our endeavors as incredible achievements? Let's overcome the fear of external judgment and focus on our path.
5. Transition from Accidental Growth to Intentional Growth: To achieve our goals, we must shift from accidental to intentional growth. Are we taking intentional steps every day toward our dreams? Something as simple as a daily reflection – ask yourself what did I do to move closer to my goal today? Ask yourself what is it that you're going to do to hold yourself accountable. How will you ensure that this year looks different from last year and that you move in the direction that you want to go?
