It was truly an honour to be loved by you. You had a gift of making everyone who had the privilege of your love feel special in a unique way.
From my boss at 15/16 years old to my mentor to my bonus father. Most of what I know in entertainment, marketing, fashion…. My ability to “ball on a budget”, find solutions instead of focus on problems, build things from nothing and make them into something great, the importance of building my network and most importantly living a life of significance….. legacy and impact I learned from you…. The best to ever do it!
From Miss Universe Jamaica, Fashion Model, MaleFace and Supermodel seeing you transform the lives of every single male and female that came through the Pulse training camp as I like to call it…. More confident, more polished and ready for more.
Being able to participate in Jammy Awards, Reggae Superjam, still my favorite concert series to date, to the inception and execution of Caribbean Fashionweek was priceless.
Seeing the innovation of Pulse and Villa, nobody can create space like you. You were blessed to see so much where others would see nothing.
I will miss our time at 38 or breakfast at Courtleigh or Spanish Court. The best Christmas parties…. The best parties period. Always dancing, a good time, beautiful people and red wine.
Most of my network in entertainment, fashion, media, and other industries started with you. Treating everyone with care and respect is an invaluable lesson.
Pulse was the beginning for so many, I did about 12 years “full-time” and forged so many valuable relationships from it. My sister interned at Pulse, my cousin worked for Studio 38. Deeg and I went to ICHS together but it was Pulse that made us family.
Romae, Hilary, Saf, Cole the legacy lives on through you. We will continue to expand it and as Saf says… the Pulse will continue to beat.
